Kourtney is a writer and producer with the unique ability to share poignant, relatable, and compelling stories. After graduating from Texas State University with a Journalism degree, Kourtney moved to New York City to pursue a career in entertainment journalism. She wrote articles for companies like The GRAMMYs, BET, MTV, and Essence Magazine. She soon realized her passion for storytelling with a goal set for writing TV and film. In 2011, Kourtney moved to Los Angeles, CA where she began writing comedy sketches for Hart Beat Productions, All Def Digital, and Issa Rae's Peak.TV. In the fall of 2017, the producers of Embassy Row, in partnership with CBS, selected Kourtney to write Star Trek Discovery's post show titled "After Trek." It wasn't long before BET started knocking on her door to write the BET Awards After Party Show -- for 2017, 2018, and 2019 year. At Revolt TV, she wrote "State of the Culture" hosted by Joe Budden. At Starz, she wrote /produced "Power Confidential" hosted by Terrence J. At Netflix, she wrote Netflix' Rhythm + Flow's after show. And later wrote the after show for The Boys on Amazon.
Kourtney may be the Queen of writing talk shows, but recently her career has shifted to features and episodic TV. Some of her recent work is below:
